The state of urologic care in Massachusetts has been severly impacted due to the inability to attract new practioners and decrease those leaving the state or retiring early. The average age of the practicing urologist is the second highest amongst specialty care.
We are at a criticial juncture if we are hoping to improve access by helping the at risk practictioner from burnout. This will help to improve the quality of care within the state.
